Our ACE Community: Beyond Gambling
Having a flutter is seen by many people as intrinsically Australian and around 70 per cent of Australians participate in some form of gambling. However, over 110,000 Australians are classified as ‘job gamblers’ while a further 280,000 are considered to be at moderate risk. This thought-provoking short film documents Our ACE Community: Beyond Gambling – a 12 month programme aimed towards addressing the issue of job gambling in the Western Australian Community. It brings into the open, an issue that – unlike other forms of addiction – is rarely discussed and often veiled in secrecy.
