WORLD'S LARGEST GYPSUM DUNE + HOT SPRINGS IN THE DESERT | NEW MEXICO route TRIP

We drove through the border of West Texas into New Mexico, and we were greeted by a magnificent host of desert mountains. Just when we thought the mountains were grand, we entered into a pure gem in the Land of Enchantment— the world’s largest gypsum dune. We enjoyed a wonderful day and evening at White Sands before continuing farther north in our van.

Despite the thoughts of the desert being tremendously hot, several cold nights brought us to the idea of treating ourselves to a natural hot outflow right on the Ro Grande. And it was certainly well worth it.
