Some four dozen Clark County and City of Las Vegas Fire and Rescue firefighters were suspended in the air, 550-feet above the ground, for simulated training at The Linq Hotel’s High Roller ferris wheel attraction. The teams were part of each fire department’s Technical Rescue Teams and were conducting the annual training to ensure they are always prepared when and if duty calls. In the 7 years that Caesars Entertainment, which operates The Linq, has allowed the fire departments to conduct the mock training, a existent-life rescue has never been needed.
