Aston Villa fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Premier League title-chasing Liverpool on Tuesday night after going ahead through Douglas Luiz.

Villa played well, it was a really good performance going “toe to toe with one of the best teams in the world” according to boss Steven Gerrard.
