fficially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is a country in Western Asia constituting the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula. With a land area of approximately 2,150,000 km2 (830,000 sq mi), Saudi Arabia is geographically the largest sovereign province in Western Asia, the 2nd-largest in the Arab world (after Algeria), the fifth-largest in Asia, and the 12th-largest in the world. Saudi Arabia is bordered by Jordan and Iraq to the north, Kuwait to the northeast, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates to the east, Oman to the southeast and Yemen to the due south; it is separated from Israel and Egypt by the Gulf of Aqaba. It is the only nation with both a crimson Sea coast and a Persian Gulf coast, and most of its terrain consists of arid desert, lowland and mountains. As of October 2018, the Saudi economy was the largest in the Middle East and the 18th largest in the world. Saudi Arabia also has one of the world’s youngest populations; 50 percent of its 33.4 million people are under 25 years old.

சவூதி அரேபியா அல்லது சவூதி அரேபிய இராச்சியம் அரேபியக் குடாநாட்டின் மிகப் பெரிய நாடாகும். வடமேற்கு எல்லையில் யோர்தானும் வடக்கு, வடகிழக்கு எல்லைகளில் ஈராக்கும் கிழக்கு எல்லையில் குவைத், கட்டார், பக்ரைன் ஐக்கிய அரபு அமீரகம் என்பனவும், தென்கிழக்கு எல்லையில் ஓமானும் தெற்கு எல்லையில் யேமனும் அமந்துள்ளது. மீதமுள்ள எல்லைகளாக பாரசீகக் குடா வடகிழக்கிலும் செங்கடல் மேற்கிலும் அமைந்துள்ளது.

சவுதி அரேபியாவில் உள்ள இஸ்லாமியர்களின் யாத்திரைத் தலங்களான மக்காவில் உள்ள மஸ்ஜித் அல்-ஹராம், மதீனாவில் உள்ள மஸ்ஜித் அந்-நபவி ஆகிய இரு பள்ளிவாசல்கள் காரணமாக இது சிலவேளைகளில் இரண்டு பள்ளிவாசல்களின் இராச்சியம் எனவும் அழைக்கப்படுவதுண்டு. 1902 ஆம்ஆண்டு தொடக்கம் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட முயற்சிகளை அடுத்து 1932 ஆம் ஆண்டு அப்துல் அஸீஸ் பின் சவூத் தனது மூதாதையரது நகரமான ரியாத்தை கைப்பற்றிய பின்னர் சவூதி அரேபிய இராச்சியத்தைப் பிரகடணப் படுத்தி அங்கீகாரத்தையும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்.
